Seed Keeper Project 2017
Monday--January 30, 2017!
The Seed Keeper Project is our opportunity to recognize school gardens across the country. Each year we award a Seed Keeper Home Farmer and a Certificate to a school in every state and the District of Columbia highlighting their dedication to gardening. Plus, each winning school will receive Seeds of the Month Club and the essential gardening companion book-- garden-pedia by Maria Zampini and Pamela Bennett! New this year, winning schools will also receive a pair of clippers from Corona Tools! We appreciate the support of our partners and their commitment to school gardens.
To date the Seed Keeper Project has recognized more than 250 school gardens in all 50 states and the District of Columbia!
We need YOU to make this happen!
We believe it our responsibility to take part in educating coming generations about the benefits of gardening and particularly growing your own food.
- Beginning January 30th, we will post 10 States each week for 5 weeks in alphabetical order on our FaceBook Page The Seed Keeper Company.
- During the week we ask you to nominate a K-12 school, any type of school, and post it on our FB Page.
- We will draw a winner using random.org at the end of that week and announce them on our FB page.
- When we send the Seed Keeper and Certificate to the winner, your name will be mentioned in the Certificate as the person who nominated the school.
We are the winners of The Seed Keeper Project! Our winning schools inspire us!!.
"I respect generosity in people, and I respect it in companies, too. I don't look at it as philanthropy; I see it as an investment in the community." Paul Newman
"Your Seed Keeper Project is just one example of the many initiatives needed across the country to engage parents, families, and children to get excited about making healthy choices and we applaud your work!" From a letter to the Seed Keeper Company
